Rio, 11/28/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The government's new export target, for 2004, is US$80 billion, says minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Luiz Fernando Furlan. The minister added that the export sector should grow by at least 10% annually.
Furlan said that the agrobusiness sector would do its part by increasing exports next year by US$5 billion, with soybean exports reaching US$2.5 billion. The minister said that with regard to imports, the forecast was for them to grow by 10%. (AB)
