Brasília, November 24, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Today, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva received Queen Silvia, of Sweden, at the Itamaraty Palace. After the meeting, President Lula offered a luncheon to the Queen. The Ministers of Food Security and Hunger Alleviation, José Graziano, and Education, Cristovam Buarque, attended the luncheon. Queen Silva presides the World Childhood Foundation, which combats sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. The foundation operates in 13 countries, including Brazil, where it provides technical and financial assistance to 19 projects in 14 states. (DAS)
