São Paulo, November 24, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Minister of Development, Luiz Fernando Furlan, informed that the government will announce new measures involving the reduction of bureaucracy on imports. He guaranteed that the new procedures, while they will make it easier for merchandise to pass through port customs, will also prevent eventual frauds.
He said that the government maintains the goal of stimulating exports, foreseeing an expansion of 10% in 2004. He participated today in the seminar "How Washington Works," held at the American Chamber of Commerce, in São Paulo. (DAS)
