Rio, November 24, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Minister of Science and Technology, Roberto Amaral, who participated in the opening of the seminar "Mercosur, Science, Technology, and Innovation," at the headquarters of the BNDES in this capital, proposed the creation of binational graduate programs in areas of science and research of mutual interest.
According to the Minister, the areas of greatest interest would be the sectors of agrotechnology and veterinary health. He also proposed the advance of electronic commerce and the construction of a stronger and more operative sub-regional institutional base. "The existence of rapid interconnection has a multiplier effect not to be belittled," he affirmed. (DAS)
