Rio, 11/18/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Although Brazil is usually seen as a country that only receives investments, the fact is that more and more Brazilian businesses are looking at investment opportunities abroad.
According to Pedro Paulo Salles Cristófaro, of the Lobo & Ibeas Advogados law office, speaking at a conference sponsored by the Franco-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Brazil' presence in the area of international investments is still timid. He pointed out that France has US$450 billion in foreign investments, but only US$60 million are Brazilian. (AB)
