Brasília, 10/15/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Brazil is going to assist Paraguay implant programs for young people from low-income families between the ages of 7 and 17. The programs will be modeled on similar ones used in Brazil, such as Breaking Free ("Pintando a Liberdade") and Second Half ("Segundo Tempo"), which provide enrolled youths assistance with school work, meals and physical activities. Under the bilateral agreement, Paraguayan youths will practice a variety of sports within the program. The agreement was signed by the respective ministers of Sports of Brazil and Paraguay, Agnaldo Queiroz and Federico Frutos. (AB)
