Brazil obtains US$ 750 million through sale of BR-11 global bonds

Brasília, September 11, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Central Bank (BC) announced that the Brazilian government obtained another US$ 750 million today through the sale of BR-11 global bonds, concluding this year's program for the acquisition of foreign funds. The resources that were obtained will be added to Brazil's international reserves next Thursday (18), according to information provided by the BC.

The Citigroup and Goldman Sachs bank led this operation, reopening the emission of BR-11 global bonds. The paper has an expiration date of August 7, 2011. The National Treasury's target for this year was to acquire US$ 3 billion. (DAS)
