Rio, September 10, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Data from the Consumer's Economic Profile, released by the Fecomércio-RJ Institute, indicate that consumers in the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area are beginning to believe that the country's economic situation will get better in the next six months. Of the 3,185 consumers surveyed during the period August 18-21, the percentage that believes that the country's and their personal financial situation will improve rose from 39.04% to 41.67%, while the percentage of those who foresee worsening conditions fell from 16.88% to 14.48%.
