Brasília, 9/10/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - A group of former domestic child laborers were in the Chamber of Deputies yesterday where they gave the president of the lower house, João Paulo Cunha (PT-SP), a document with grievances concerning, and proposals for eradicating, domestic child labor. The document is to be delivered to the Parliamentary Front on Children and Adolescents.

Cunha declared that the Chamber of Deputies will do what is possible, saying that, "The right place for children is in school." It is estimated that one million Brazilian children perform some sort of domestic child labor. (AB)
