Rio, 9/2/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva says he would like to see the soccer all-stars of Mercosur and the European Union in a benefit game in favor of the fight against hunger. That put the minister of Sports, Agnelo Queiroz, and the president of the Brazilian Soccer Association, Ricardo Teixeira, in motion. They will contact soccer authorities in South America and Europe about a game.

Meanwhile, minister Queiroz has announced that at the request of Lula, games between Rio rivals, Vasco and Flamengo, and São Paulo rivals, Corinthians and São Paulo, which will take place on October 18, as part of the Brazilian national championship tournament, will collect non-perishable food for the government's Zero Hunger program.
