Brasília, July 23, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The total amount of the federal public domestic financial debt (DPMFi) in the hands of the public, in the form of notes, bonds, and other titles, attained R$ 669.4 billion in June. This represents an increase of R$ 8.66 billion, or 1.31%, in relation to May. The chief reasons for the growth of the DPMFi in the hands of the public were interest rates and the emission of new titles worth R$ 1.6 billion. (DAS)
