CNI foresees US$ 20 billion trade surplus this year

Brasília, July 24, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The National Confederation of Industry (CNI) foresees a US$ 20 billion trade surplus this year, higher than the market's forecast of US$ 17 billion. In its information bulletin, the CNI points out that negotiations for the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) are heading into a phase of difficult decisions. The document reveals that an initial proposal has been formulated for ways to conduct the negotiations over markets for non-agricultural products. (DAS)
