Arapiraca (AL), 7/21/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Minister of Health, Humberto Costa, has announced that the government will buy medicine for public hospitals and medical centers (first aid stations) [in Brazil medicine is distributed free of charge to the poor at these places]. According to the minister, president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is concerned about the needy who cannot buy medicine. Costa added that the government will set up and provide support for low-cost pharmacies around the country. (AB)
