Washington, 6/23/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - During his visit to the US, president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva pressed president George W. Bush on the question of changes at the United Nations. Lula said he explained that Brazil is "extremely interested" in making changes at the UN, especially following the war between the US and Iraq.
Lula also took advantage of the meeting with Bush to state that Brazil is really interested in a permanent seat on the UN Security Council. "I believe that president Bush will think about that because we have a lot of support, from all of Latin America and other parts of the world, as well," concluded the president. (AB)
