Minister of Culture comes out in favor of an international TV channel for Brazilian government

Brasília, 6/17/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Yesterday minister of Culture, Gilberto Gil, discussed the creation of an international TV channel for Brazilian government communication with president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Following the conversation Gil said that both he and the president were working on the project, "to open a channel of communication connecting Brazil with the world," and had decided to study the possibility in depth with the Government Communications Secretariat (Secom) and the Government Communications Corporation (Radiobras).
