Rosinha suggests Parliamentary Hearing Committee to investigate accusations of corruption

Rio, January 13, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The governor of Rio de Janeiro, Rosinha Matheus (PSB), asked PSB members of the state legislative assembly today (13) to propose the opening of a parliamentary hearing committee to investigate accusations of corruption and illegal transfer of over US$ 30 million to Swiss bank accounts. The accusations involve officials of the State Secretariat of Finance during the administration of ex-governor Anthony Garotinho, Rosinha's husband. (DAS)
