Brasília, December 5, 2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The president of the Council of the Solidary Community Program, Ruth Cardoso, announced today that the projects developed by the program over the past eight years will continue in future years, regardless of the change in government. According to Ruth Cardoso, the programs established autonomy and will be conducted by non-governmental organizations (NGO's), linked to a new entity, to be called "Comunitas," headed by Ruth Cardoso herself, with headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, as well as offices in São Paulo and Brasília.
