Brasília, 6/12/2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Itaipu hydroelectric power plant and commerce in the border cities of Foz do Iguaçu and Ciudad del Este were among the topics of conversation when president-elect, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the president of Paraguay, Luiz González Macchi, met yesterday.

After the meeting, Macchi told journalists he was going to defend himself from all the charges in his impeachment trial. (AB)
