ILO releases report on use of children in Rio drug trafficking

Brasília, 1 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The International Labor Organization (ILO) has released a study on Employment of Children and Adolescents in Drug Trafficking in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The report says that the main reasons the youngsters participate is for thrills, money, drugs, prestige and power. The drugs most youngsters use are marijuana (90%), hashish (25%) and alcohol (23%). The ILO interviewed 100 people in 21 locations, mostly slums. (AB)
