Brasília – President Dilma Rousseff, speaking at the United Nations as she opened the 67th General Assembly, declared that changes are urgently needed in the United Nations Security Council. She said the present composition of the council no longer reflects the real world.
The president went on to condemn measures adopted outside the UN in the search for international security. “We cannot permit the council to be substituted by coalitions. The use of force is not an acceptable option,” she declared.
