Rio de Janeiro – The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, received the Paralympic flag Sunday evening at the end of the closing ceremony of the 2012 Paralympic Games in London. The passing of the flag was followed by an eight-minute presentation of regional Brazilian dances, ballet and some funk. Popular singers Carlinhos Brown and Thalma de Freitas (dressed as Carmen Miranda) were the stars of the show.
