Brasília – The United States Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, is in Brazil for a two-day visit. The 3rd Global Partnership Dialogue Brazil – United States will take place today. The objective of the meeting, that will be attended by president Dilma Rousseff, government authorities and business leaders, is to turn bilateral agreements between the two nations into concrete action.
Tomorrow, Secretary Clinton will participate in the First High Level Annual Conference on the Open Government Partnership that was launched eight months ago by presidents Dilma Rousseff and Barack Obama with the goal of preventing corruption, promoting transparency in government and empowering citizens. The conference will be attended by representatives of 42 countries.
