Brasília – Yesterday, the minister of Labor, Carlos Lupi, released the latest employment numbers (“Cadastro Geral de Empregados e Desempregados-Caged”), showing that 215,393 jobs were created in June. A total of 1,781,817 people were hired and 1,566,424 were fired during the month.

During the first half of this year, 1,400,000 more people were hired than fired.
