Brasília – This week the Ministry of Agriculture will begin distributing a 44-page pamphlet with information on bird flu. The focus will be on measures adopted by federal, state and municipal officials - in partnership with the private sector - to deal with the problem.

The pamphlet will be distributed to everyone in the poultry production chain. It will tell farmers what to do if the presence of bird flu is suspected.

Spokespersons at the ministry say the pamphlet will also be used in educational campaigns to make the public aware of the disease.
