Brazilian mission leaves to Haiti to investigate General’s death

Brasilia – An airplane of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) left this Sunday (8) to Haiti, with representatives of the federal government who will accompany the investigations on the death of Brazilian General Urano Teixeira da Matta Bacellar, commander of the United States Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH).

The head of the Department for North America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Relations, Gonçalo Mello Mourão, left Saturday (7) to Haiti. The Minister of Foreign Relations, Celso Amorim, talked about the subject to the United Nations Secretary General, Kofi Annan, and to the Head of UN mission in Haiti, Chilean diplomat Juan Gabriel Valdés.
