Brazilian government condemns terrorist attack in Tel Aviv

Brasília, 1/7/2003 (Agência Brasil - In an official note from the Ministry of Foreign Relations, Brazil condemned the terrorist attack in Tel Aviv which killed 23 and injured over 100. The note says that Brazil considers compliance with UN Security Council resolutions, including an end to Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory, essential for peace.

"The Brazilian government wholeheartedly supports the creation of a democratic, cohesive and economically viable Palestinian state in accordance with Security Council Resolutions. That objective should be pursued by peaceful means...," concludes the note. (AB)
