Cardoso ends visit to Chile with signing of bilateral agreements

Santiago (Chile), 20 (Agência Brasil – ABr) – Today president Fernando Henrique Cardoso's visit to Chile ends with the signing of seven bilateral cooperation agreements in agriculture, science and technology and social security.

In science and technology, the cooperation agreement calls for peaceful use of nuclear energy, with benefits for medical uses. Other agreements cover biotechnology, information science and technology and management of science and technology programs.

Brazil and Chile will also sign an agreement on ocean corridors which will connect the coastlines of all South American countries. (AB)
