Brasília, 8 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Former Palestinian ambassador in Brazil, Ahmed Sobert, had his house in Ramallah, in West Bank, invaded on Saturday (6) by Israeli troops while he gave a telephone interview to Radiobrás. With a stressed voice, Sobert expressed fear and suffering. As he talked, it was possible to hear children in tears and adults in panic in the backround.

"There is total destruction. We have no water, electric light and telephone. Ambulances can not to move around the city and journalists can work ", said Sobert. "11 years after the restarting of the peace process, this situation is very sad".

"There is a tank in front of my house. And, near here, the Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat, is isolated. We are frightened and we need, immediately, international support to end this conflict", added Sobert, before the call was disconnected. (WPS)
