Brasília, 29/4/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) The secretary general of the Organization of American States for Latin America, Salvador Murray, has praised the Brazilian contribution to the elections this weekend in Paraguay. The OAS footed the bill for the transportation of Brazilian electronic voting machines, and insurance.

Everyone was pleased with the quick results made possible by the machines. Voting ended at 4:30 pm on Sunday, and two hours later fully 80% of the results were in. At 8:00 pm all the votes cast in the electronic voting machines had been counted. (AB)
